The The Great Ziegfeld trilogy kicked off in 1936 with the first movie in the series The Great Ziegfeld. In 1941 a second film was released staring James Stewart, Judy Garland, Hedy Lamarr, Lana Turner, and in 1946 the series was completed with Ziegfeld Follies.
