Marvel Cinematic Universe Movies In Order

Marvel is a company that has deep roots in American culture. They’re the rights owner to most of the big super hero names. Classics such as Hulk, Captain America, and Ironman all have their origins with Marvel. Over the last decade and a half, movie lovers have seen the company shift its focus to producing top notch films based on the original comic book characters. The Marvel Cinematic Universe began with Iron Man in 2008 and has grown to include more than thirty feature films. The movies share characters and events, so a story that begins in one hero’s film can carry into another.

I don’t think there’s a single person in the United States who hasn’t heard of at least one Marvel character. Thor, Ironman, X-men, the list goes on. All of these movies have their roots in the comic book industry, and all thanks to one company: Marvel. This company as we know it began in 1961. However, we can trace the roots even further back to 1939 when they were originally called Timely Comics. In the following years, Marvel would grow to become the biggest comic book company in the world.

In 2009 the company underwent a major change and it was purchased by Disney. Nearly all of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films have been released since that purchase. By coincidence, Disney also purchased Lucas Film who owned the rights to Star Wars. This means that the new Star Wars comics would again be published by Marvel. With Disney already a top movie producer, it comes as no surprise that the last decade and a half have been a golden era for the comic book company.

Marvel is among the most iconic of companies. Everyone can relate to the content they produce whether they’re young, old, male or female. This company has a movie or comic that everyone can relate to. With their recent success in the box office, and their prosperous plans for the future, one thing is clear: this once small comic book company is here to stay.

I really enjoyed this article, and found the list helpful as I want to re-watch them all in chronological order in time for the next avengers film next month, so this did exactly what I needed it to.
I did chuckle a bit to myself at the end when it said anyone can relate to marvel content, be they young, old, male or female. thats grand and all, but I’m trying to think of some non-white, gay superhero’s so the rest of us can relate to them lol. I guess ‘mega-sonic teenage warheads’ Asian girlfriend from deadpool2 counts. there may be more I don’t know all the characters lol.
I know I’m being pinickity but darnit’, if marvel isn’t inclusive then who the fuck is?

I just did answer about the series. I think they are really good movies without profanity, sex , drugs and people killing each other. I watch all of The Avengers, Thor and Iron Man movies every time they are on. I’ve watched them so much that I car repeat the lines of the movie.

I lam a fan of The Avengers, Captain America , Thor and Iron. I was wondering why there is no movies about The Black Widow and Hawkeye. They play a big part in some of the other movies. The Black Widow has been in Iron Man 2 and Captain America movies. Are they planning on making a movie about how The Black Widow started being a part of Shield and how The Black Widow and Hawk Eye met. There is a part in The Avengers Movie about how Hawk Eye was sent to kill The Black Widow but that’s all.

Growing up on the Zambian Copperbelt and reading Marvel Comics , it was not in my wildest dreams that I would ever watch my heroes in film!! Awesome, that is all I can say. To watch my beloved ‘ Mighty Thor’ in film, and Peter Parker, Bruce Banner and to sing ‘ When Captain America throws his mighty shield’ and actually see him do it! Just beautiful. Thank you Marvel, thank you Disney. Hey, where is Namor, the Submarina?

Although “Punisher: War Zone” is a Marvel movie, it is its own film, not a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There is currently a Punisher TV show that ties in with Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Daredevil, Iron Fist, and The Defenders that is loosely tied to the MCU, however, this Punisher is not in the same universe as “Punisher: War Zone”. Other than that, great job, just add the new “Ant Man and the Wasp” movie.
