Spiderman Movies In Order
Spiderman is another all-time American classic comic that was adapted into many movies. The original writer of the comics, Stan Lee had a role in many big name comics such as The Avengers, Captain America and X-men. Working together, Marvel and Lee tirelessly worked over many years to bring us so many of the comics turned movies that we know and love. In all there have been a total of five separate Spiderman movies and two totally separate series. In 2012 Marc Web Films decided to reboot the series and give a fresh take on it. His series, dubbed “The Amazing Spiderman” has two installments, and we can expect a third one to complete the trilogy.
In case you were wondering, you should definitely watch the Spiderman movies in order. However, since there’s the original series and the reboot, you don’t have to start at the first movie which was made in 2002. You could always start with the 2012 series, and skip the original. But seriously, who would do that? You’d be missing out on a lot of great classics. I suggest you start at the 2002 movie and work your way up in chronological order, by release date.
Spiderman is a household name for almost everyone. Like many Marvel Comics, this character was an instant classic. The first comic in 1962 was a first for the superhero niche. Many previous superheroes were older, middle aged men. Peter Parker was the first teenager who become the center focus of his own comic. Previously, teenagers were usually limited to the sidekick role of the actual Superhero. Robin for instance in the Batman series, was merely an afterthought to Bruce Wayne who garnered all the attention. Perhaps that’s what lead to this character’s initial success that would eventually propel him into movie history.
The Spiderman movie series has been a cash cow for its producers. In total, the five movies have netted over 3.7 billion dollars at the box office. Critical reception to these movies has also been extremely high, with the first series achieving extremely high reviews. The first trilogy got an 89%, 94%, and a 63% respectively. The second series, while not as good as the initial one got a 73% and a 53% from Rotten Tomatoes. Still nothing to scoff at as the reboot trilogy earned 1.5 billion at the box office between the two films.
Spiderman is part of a handful of Marvel comics that will live on for many years into the future. Whether Peter Parker being a teenager appealed to the audience or an average joe fighting evil, one thing is clear: Parker is one of the most popular comic book characters. With deep roots in popular culture we’ve not seen the last of Spiderman. As long as movies are still being produced, we’ll be seeing much more of this webbed superhero well into the future.

I think that Andrew Garfield should have stayed as Spider-Man because he had a very good Spider-Man. But they also should have kept tobey maguire.

They Are All Awesome And Am Waiting For The Continuity

I find the stats interesting as I was of the opinion that the Amazing Spiderman was received as well, if not better than the original trilogy. Also, I was curious to see how the reboot did by comparison, as rewriting origin stories sometimes upsets or bores people.

This is not a complete list of Spiderman movies. There were 2 made-for-TV movies in the 70s and 80s. And they were horrible. They are proof that anyone who says that Amazing Spiderman 2 was the worst is a fucking casual who doesn’t know wtf a truly bad Spiderman movie looks like :O
